Close Up: Caterpillar-Inspired Earrings (Yes, Really!)

I found this little guy* on the side of the house today – he was the perfect subject for a close-up shot!

I just adore the little tufts of bristles on his back.  Looking at him got me thinking about tassels, and I ended up making a pair of caterpillar-inspired earrings:

The earrings are available in the Etsy shop here – head on over and take a look!

*After a bit of research online I’ve decided that he was probably a Tussock Moth Caterpillar.  They’re quite fascinating to look at, but don’t touch them – their hairs can sting you!

      1. I hope you didn’t think I was degrading your earrings. I thought of my daughter and her husband when they were fishing. He snagged his spinner on something and lost it, but the day wasn’t lost when she gave him her earrings.
